The practice of Niles A. Syska DDS is a lovely culmination of two fairly different practices. Both of which were established well before his time. Dr. Syska was young lad who grew up in Huber Heights and graduated from Wayne High School. After graduating from Dental School in 2000, Dr. Syska made his way back to the Dayton area to practice. He was a bright eyed optimist who quickly found work as a “substitute” doctor, filling in for other doctors who were ill or on vacation. It was in this way that he was introduced to Ronald Munn DDS. Dr. Munn had a successful practice on North Main Street in North Dayton. Dr. Munn was considering retirement and looking for someone to take over his practice. Dr. Syska was a great fit and they quickly struck a deal. Dr. Syska purchased the practice from Dr. Munn in January of 2001. The plan was for the two to work together. Unfortunately, Dr. Munn fell very ill and died shortly there after. He continues to be missed by his employees and patients to this very day. So there was Dr. Syska, now with a practice to himself. It was time to sink or swim. So swim he did. In fact, he not only worked the practice, but he continued to work as a sub. It wasn't long before he was needed just a few short miles up Main Street in Englewood. Daniel Collins DDS had suddenly passed away and left his thriving practice without someone to care for his patients. Dr. Syska quickly filled in, and in September of 2001, bought Dr. Collins practice. Now what was Dr. Syska to do? He was alternating days between practices working every other day at each office. It wasn't long before he started showing up at the wrong office on the wrong day. Finally, in 2003 he had enough. He decided that everyone should just come to one office every day. He chose the Englewood office to establish his practice due to its size and location. |
